The Kočevje destination offers an experience of the pristine, primeval forest, where you can feel the healing power of ancient trees and take a piece of it home with you in the form of an ointment. The pure forest air, the sound of birds, the treetops swaying in the wind, the touch of a tree trunk, and a sense of harmony with nature.
PACKAGE DESCRIPTION
Our workshop takes place in the forest. The forest is a wonderful space that enables an authentic experience of the Kočevje destination. The color green soothes, embodies the forest, the Kočevje destination, and the unspoiled nature and its inhabitants. A pure and relaxing environment that may even surprise you with a visit from one of the wild inhabitants of the forest.

Our journey begins at Marof in Kočevje, which is also the starting point of the Rožni studenec forest educational trail. The trail leads through the forest, offering numerous informative and descriptive panels to enrich the walk. With the help of a licensed tourist guide, you will learn about the features of the Kočevsko destination, wild animals, and various tree species. Embraced by the forest, we listen to the tree canopies and set off on a hunt for spruce resin. We conclude the experience with a practical demonstration of how to make Kočevje spruce ointment according to a traditional recipe using ingredients from a domestic kitchen, which we then fill into a handy glass jar.

The price includes guiding and materials for the workshop. Each participant receives 10 ml of spruce ointment in a glass jar, which we prepare during the workshop according to the traditional recipe.
For an additional charge, t is possible to arrange an extra visit to or participation in other activities in Kočevsko as well as a refreshment stop at local caterers offering dishes marked with O, Kočevsko.
